With the project titled Improving living conditions in Adaba, MELCA-Ethiopia launch new project in Oromia National Regional State, West Arsi Zone, Adaba Woreda with the financial Support of karl kübel stiftung (KKS) to contributes to Ethiopia’s national efforts to reduce poverty (SDG 1), gender equality (SDG 5), preserve biological diversity and promote the sustainable use of natural resources (SDG 15).
MELCA-Ethiopia has conducted project launch workshop on West Arsi Zone, Adaba Woreda on September 1-2, 2021 with the attending different stakeholders, West Arsi Zone Agriculture and Natural Resource Office Heads, Livestock and Fishery Office Heads, Health Office Heads, Adaba woreda administration and communication, Education Office, Water and Energy Office and cooperatives Woreda Administration, Woreda Health Extensions and Development Agents, Schools directors and Adaba Woreda Communities from five Kebeles.
On the conducted workshop has presented about MELCA-Ethiopia and general project concept to the participant. Based on the presentations the general discussion plate was opened and led by Adaba Woreda Administration Head. As the participant said MELCA was the known, which has a long lasting good historical and fruitful NGO in the Adaba Woreda and they welcomed with the new project. The new project is expected to give a strong support to selected Kebeles communities and also expected to covers additional kebeles of the Woredas.
With the next day also give TOT training for DA’s and expert on basic beekeeping skills for Adaba Woreda 12 Development Agents and 3 Experts.
